Kathy L Noriega Go, Gabby! Praying you and Martha take Tucson by storm.
Question: what does "truth to power" mean and why is there a rorschach blot on the opponent's sign?? LOL
Gabriela Saucedo Mercer Kathy L Noriega, this is the best definition I could come up with.
A vacuous phrase used by some on the political Left, especially the denizens of the Democratic Underground website. Ostensibly, it means to verbally confront or challenge conservative politicians and conservative ideals using the overwhelmingly logical and moral arguments of liberalism. Doing so would, naturally of course, devastate the target individual, leaving them a stuttering, stammering bowl of defeated jelly. That or cause them to experience an epiphany that would have such a profound, worldview-changing effect that they would immediately go out and buy a Che t-shirt and start reading Noam Chomsky. Unfortunately, the individuals who would use this phrase have little or no understanding of either liberalism or conservatism, and the "truth" that they speak consists mainly of epithets and talking points, memorized by rote, which they learned from other, equally vapid liberals. As such "speak truth to power" joins other feel-good but ultimately meaningless gems from Leftist history such as "right on", "up against the wall" and "question everything."
Gabriela Saucedo Mercer Thank you for your votes everyone! I am truly honored and humbled to have earned your vote for the primary.
Florence Nanez It's time to get a TRUE American to represent us, not some one whose heart belongs to another country.
Gabriela Saucedo Mercer is running in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Arizona's 3rd District. She won her Republican primary on August 28, 2012 with 64% of the vote. The general election against incumbent Democrat Raul M. Grijalva and Libertarian Blanca Guerra takes place on November 6, 2012. Candidate Gabriela Saucedo Mercer lacks the skills to hold federal office and this scrapblog is the evidence behind that accusation.
